You may have heard of somatic therapy, but what exactly is it?
Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach to healing that emphasizes the deep connection between the mind and body. It integrates elements of psychotherapy with physical therapies to promote holistic wellness. In addition to traditional talk therapy, practitioners of somatic therapy utilize mind-body exercises and various physical techniques to help release tension that may be impacting both physical and emotional well-being.
Somatic therapists recognize that many individuals experience a disconnection between their body and mind. They believe that these two aspects are closely intertwined, often in ways that may not be immediately obvious. Relational Somatic Therapy
Relational Somatic Therapy is a healing approach that focuses on understanding and transforming unhealthy relationship patterns. It helps you connect with your body to process emotions and traumas, particularly those related to attachment. This therapy includes somatic parts work and inner child work, allowing you to explore different aspects of yourself and how they influence your relationships. The goal is to heal deep-seated issues, improve emotional regulation, and create healthier connections with yourself and others.

Somatic Addiction Therapy
In my somatic addiction therapy practice, I employ a polyvagal, felt sense approach to address the complex interplay between trauma and addiction. By understanding how our nervous system responses are linked to both past experiences and current behaviors, we create a safe space for healing. This approach integrates somatic attachment therapy and somatic parts work to help clients explore and heal the underlying emotional wounds that contribute to addictive patterns. Together, we work to cultivate awareness, resilience, and a deeper connection to oneself, facilitating lasting transformation and healthier relationships with substances.

Somatic Healing Community
Join our somatic healing community, where we come together to explore various aspects of personal and relational healing through 2 monthly workshops hosted by Alyssa. Each month, we focus on a different topic, including somatic relational healing, ancestral healing, parts work, holistic nutrition, and attachment therapy. In addition, we offer monthly breathwork sessions to support emotional release and integration, as well as guest workshops throughout the year featuring diverse healing practices. Members also gain access to a comprehensive library of somatic resources, including guided meditations, workbooks, and exercises, providing valuable tools to deepen your journey.
